Explore Mikumi, Selous & Udzungwa  National Park

Midday: Drive to Mikumi National Park, which is approximately a 5-hour journey from Dar es Salaam. Afternoon: Arrive at your accommodation in or near Mikumi National Park. After lunch, begin a game drive in Selous, one of Africa’s largest game reserves. Selous is renowned for its diverse ecosystems, including riverine forests, miombo woodlands, and grasslands. Evening: Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at your Selous accommodation.

All Day: Spend the day exploring Selous Game Reserve. You might participate in game drives, walking safaris, or boat safaris on the Rufiji River. Selous is famous for its large populations of elephants, hippos, and crocodiles, and offers a unique perspective on wildlife from the water. Evening: Return to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

Morning: After breakfast, drive to Udzungwa Mountains National Park. This journey takes approximately 5-6 hours. The drive will take you through varying landscapes, including rural areas and lush highlands. Afternoon: Arrive at your accommodation near Udzungwa. After lunch, you may start exploring the park with a guided hike. Udzungwa is known for its rich biodiversity and stunning rainforest, waterfalls, and rare species of plants and animals. Evening: Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge or camp.

Morning: After breakfast, embark on a guided hike in Udzungwa. Popular trails include the Sanje Waterfalls hike or the Mwanihana Trail, offering spectacular views and opportunities to see endemic species such as the Udzungwa Red Colobus monkey. Afternoon: Return to your accommodation for lunch and then begin the drive back to Dar es Salaam. Evening: Arrive in Dar es Salaam in the late afternoon or evening. Depending on your flight schedule, you might have a chance for a brief city tour or transfer directly to the airport for your departure.
